The Holy Terror

A possible retreat from goodreads ... though I'm tempted to yell "get off my lawn" at this site's tumblresque-ness. Yes, that's totally a word.

Second Star

Second Star - Alyssa B. Sheinmel A modern-day reimagining of Wendy's story with a Peter Pan and Hook love triangle?

...

Um, how about ZOMG YES?!

Red Rising

Red Rising - Pierce Brown 3.75 rounded up to a 4.

Stolen Songbird

Stolen Songbird - Danielle L. Jensen Hmm ... comparing this to [b:Seraphina|12394100|Seraphina (Seraphina, #1)|Rachel Hartman|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1325528367s/12394100.jpg|17375239] in the description? Be careful, them's some big britches to fill ...

A Shiver of Light (A Merry Gentry Novel)

A Shiver of Light (A Merry Gentry Novel) - Laurell K. Hamilton Oh, so she hasn't abandoned this series?

Well, you know I have to read it then.

Something tells me no one is going to be sending me an ARC anytime soon though ...

Batman: Noel

Batman: Noel - Lee Bermejo A Batman Christmas Carol

Aquaman Vol. 2: The Others

Aquaman Vol. 2: The Others - Geoff Johns, Ivan Reis, Joe Prado I never actually thought I'd say I liked ... Aquaman.

Really, this is one of the better New 52 titles, in terms of both art AND story.

Don't you judge me.

Batman Incorporated Vol. 2: Gotham's Most Wanted

Batman Incorporated Vol. 2: Gotham's Most Wanted - Grant Morrison, Chris Burnham FUCK THIS. FUCK ALL THIS SHIT.

After the absolute EPICNESS of "Death of the Family," issue #18 of every single New 52 Batman series I was following is essentially ruined because I have to go and find this shit to see how one of the MAIN FUCKING CHARACTERS DIES?!

-18 Stars

Teen Titans Vol. 3: Death of the Family (The New 52)

Teen Titans Vol. 3: Death of the Family (The New 52) - Scott Lobdell Only person I like is Wonder Girl.

Supergirl Vol. 1: Last Daughter of Krypton

Supergirl Vol. 1: Last Daughter of Krypton - 'MICHAEL GREEN', 'MIKE JOHNSON', 'MAHMUD ASRAR' I would've liked this a lot more if she wasn't so pissed off all the time. Settle down and listen! Omg, there's a guy dressed just like you and you can't even let him finish a sentence? Girl, please.

Worlds' Finest, Vol. 2: Hunt and Be Hunted

Worlds' Finest, Vol. 2: Hunt and Be Hunted - Paul Levitz, George PĂ©rez, Kevin Maguire Ugh, why change Power Girl's costume?

Already making me laugh

Quick update

I haven't been around as much as normal for the usual reasons (at least for me, lately), but after reading that we've got spoiler tags and top reviewers and Goodreads is deleting books that aren't published yet because it speaks of their (ironic, much?) censorship of the site, I really, really, REALLY, need to polish my space up here and make it home. I see no reason not to make this my number one place for book discussion, anymore.

67% Done and Not Sure What to Say

The Plague Forge: The Dire Earth Cycle: Three - Jason M. Hough

I don't know guys, I'm invested, for sure, but I just want this book/trilogy to be over at this point. I'm hoping the end is massively insane otherwise I might not be able to recommend this as a whole.

*crosses fingers*

Lol @ "Lawnmageddon"

Plants vs. Zombies: Lawnmageddon - Paul Tobin, Philip Simon, Ron Chan

I got one of the cheap "new" Kindle Fires this week (mostly to stream stuff at the gym and read manga and have something larger than my iPhone to read emails on when I travel) and so far, I'm in love.

I think this graphic novel supplied by NetGalley shall be the first thing I officially read and review on it. Here's hoping that all goes well ... Or I might just go back to paper books for a while again.

Recommendation Request!

So I've been itching for some high/epic fantasy. No Tolkien. Nothing too dry or dudebro-ish. I'd like some girls in the mix, though they don't have to be the main character(s). It can be YA or adult: that doesn't matter much, but I'm leaning more towards adult. There better not be even a hint or a mention of the words "dystopia" or "post-apocalyptic." It'd be nice also if the book was still in print and somewhere on my shelves, though the second part is not required. No self-published or indie books.

So, piece of cake, right? I'm not picky at ALL.

Any recommendations? Here's what I have on my shelves. (I know, I know, it's really dumb to link to GR but my shelves are still a work in progress on here. It is what it is.) If you don't have a GR account anymore though and still want to rec something then my shelves on here aren't TOO bad.

Thanks in advance!

Finished!

The Exodus Towers - Jason M. Hough

Horrible Horrible HORRIBLE place to end things!

Blargh.
