The Holy Terror

A possible retreat from goodreads ... though I'm tempted to yell "get off my lawn" at this site's tumblresque-ness. Yes, that's totally a word.

The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie (Leisure Historical Romance)

The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie - Jennifer Ashley

I've found a historical romance that I didn't hate.

I suppose the formula that works for me is: An intelligent hero and heroine + a conflict that is neither too contrived nor boring + hilarious and/or likable supporting characters + sexytimes that are actually sexy = a historical romance that doesn't bore me to tears.

Was it perfect? Absolutely not. It's the best historical romance I've ever personally read though. Maybe one day I'll find one that I can rate higher than three stars.
